Five plots facing south-east on very clayey soil. A synthetic form of Chablis, long, mineral, powerful, complex. This beautiful wine can be kept for four to fifteen years.
Loads of citrus and ripe white fruit layered over a characteristic minerality (oyster shell, slate) and a touch of well‐integrated oak character.
About the Domaine:
Known as the antiquarians of Chablis, the father and son team of Gérard and Lilian Duplessis have gained a reputation for their “immortal”, age‐worthy wines and unparalleled store of older vintages. For those who love the intense minerality and glacially slow development of great Chablis, these are wines of reference.
Domaine Gerard Duplessis is a family-run, 8-hectare operation first founded in 1895. Today Lilian Duplessis is the vigneron after his father, Gérard passed the reigns to Lilian, now a fifth generation winemaker. The domaine has vines in Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos, premier crus Fourchaume, Vaillons, Montee de Tonnerre and Montmains. For those who love the intense minerality and traditional natural cellaring of great Chablis, try this beautiful selection of terroir-specific wines.
Domaine Gerard Duplessis wine is crafted from well established and organically farmed vineyards.
