Winemaker
The world has given us many dynamic duos, Batman & Robin, Sonny & Cher, the adding of Milo to milk…enter Yetti & The Kokonut. David Geyer and Koen Janssens met in 2015 and set forth to experiment with grapes in exciting new ways, think of it as drinking outside of the box. With their feet in the vineyards and their tongues in their cheek, a new breed of wines were created that unlike your sketchy friend, needed minimal intervention. These creations have finally escaped the laboratory and and are now available right here. Pour decisions? Step right this way…
The Land
The winery is in the heart of Barossa Valley (South Australia).
David and Koen are strongly believing that it all starts in the vineyard, Yetti and the Kokonut always farm, co farm or have a strong input into the vineyards they take fruit from.
They are getting their grapes from a few of the best subregion of SA (Barossa Valley, Stonegarden, Springton, Eden Valley, Mclaren Vale, southern Barossa and Mclaren Vale) and from sustainable farms.
Winemaking Process
David and Koen are sharing and joining their experience to create unique and amazing wines from unusual grapes. As much as they can, they are doing the vinification with whole grapes, and indigenous yeasts. All the wines are unfined, unfiltered and with minimal sulfites.
