This skin contact 100% Sémillon creates a soft orange wine with delicate notes of apricot and orange zest.
Coming from a clay-limestone soil this Sémillon has fermented for 40 days on skins, then maturing in french barrels for 6 months and spend the last 4 years in bottle.
Intense gold tending towards orange color, slightly cloudy. The nose is captivating, deep, on the dried orange peel, chestnut honey, salt spray, with a hint of resin … The mouth is slender, stretched by an invisible thread (no noticeable acidity) , with an ample, soft, airy material and velvety / pulpy touch. The aromatic – powerful but not aggressive – is dominated by orange peel, complemented by saffron and roasted malt. The finish is intense, combining the bitters of orange and cinchona with the noble astringency of pink grapefruit. A very fine – and moving – acidity ends up appearing and lingering for a long time, with lemony and spicy notes.
Grapes from organic farming and natural yeast and no added sulfites. Unfined and unfiltered wine.
